I have a son with Special Needs, yet I found much of the wisdom applicable to challenges I've faced in many aspects of life. Interestingly, I faced a professional disappointment the week I read the book & Kelly's words consoled me as I entered into shock -- the first of the five stages of grief. Whether you have a child with Special Needs or you love a Special Needs family, read this! I wish I had this book in my hands 10 years ago when I learned of my son's diagnosis. But also, the section about supporting other families with Special Needs WAS SO HELPFUL! Even though I have a child with Special Needs, it helped me understand others more too. Thank you, Kelly!
